Bonner Park Needs Some Work, Can You Help?
Calling all professional handymen! The City Of Missoula is accepting bids to improve one of the main attractions at Bonner Park.
The stage is one of several Bonner Park attractions which include two city blocks of water spouts, lots of trees for shade from the summer heat, a jungle gym and sandbox for the kids, tennis courts, a small baseball field, and a volleyball court. It's a popular (and free!) recreation destination in the city.
However the City needs some changes to be made to the band shell (stage) since it currently isn't accessible by wheelchair, the stage isn't ADA-accessible and performers who need to haul heavy equipment onto the stage would love the ease of access.
But replacing the steps on the side of the stage with a ramp isn't all that's needed on this project; electrical work, as well as roofing alternatives for the band shell, are also included. Whoever is awarded the winning bid would need to demolish the steps as well.
If you'd like details and specifics, interested parties should contact the City's Project Manager Garrick Swanson by tapping HERE before submitting their official bids through QuestCDN.
There will be an in-person Q&A on-site on Wednesday the 27th. Bids will be accepted until August 4th.
These improvements would not only make Bonner Park more accessible but give it the TLC it needs as it provides a wonderful recreation area for all comers. Can you help out?
