If you’re in Montana, the notion of having to “reset in the North” is probably met with a chuckle. We wake up to mountains, rivers, long winters, and stretches of highway where your phone loses the will to live.

But here we are.

Pamela Anderson, the former Baywatch star and Playboy Playmate of the Year, is now fronting Destination Canada’s 2026 tourism campaign to attract Americans up north to reflect on their lives.

A Canadian Reset, With a Celebrity Guide

The campaign is called “Resolution Reset,” and the pitch is a simple one. Americans submit intentions rather than resolutions, and a few winners take home a custom trip to Canada crafted around slowing down, reconnecting, and breathing deeply near some extremely polite trees.

The calm, reflective guide leading Americans into the Great White North is Pamela Anderson, sharing stories of growing up on Vancouver Island. It’s an easier reboot to swallow than Baywatch. Less running on the beach.

This is celebrity travel PR at its best.

Montana People Reading This Like, “We Already Own It”

Here’s the thing. Montanans do Canada energy without even trying.

Cold mornings. Wildlife everywhere. Long drives. Silence that feels expensive. We drive into Alberta or British Columbia, and the only thing that really hits us is the money. Suddenly, you’re staring into your wallet, with loonies and toonies and cash with hockey printed on it.

It truly does feel like Montana with subtitles.

Cross Border Road Trips Are Already Our Thing

For a lot of people here, Canada isn’t some exotic reset. It’s a road trip. A cooler in the back. A reminder to declare your beer and not wisecrack with border guards.

So yeah, Pamela Anderson telling Americans to slow down in Canada tracks. She’s not wrong. It’s just amusing watching a Hollywood icon sell a lifestyle Montanans already live, minus the campaign branding.
