Are You Excited? Griz Football “Tradition” Returns For Year 2
Last year the Montana Grizzlies unveiled their new tradition of the Black Out. The Griz donned their new all-black uniforms for a night game against Division II Ferris State last September in front of a sold-out crowd. It was a rowdy crowd that was treated to an all-time game that came down to the wire.
Oh, and it all happened in front of UFC Bantamweight Champion and Helena native Suga Sean O'Malley. It was a magical night that proved to be only the appetizer for the rollercoaster ride that was the 2023 Montana Grizzlies season.

The Black Out game will return under the lights on August 31st for the season opener VS Missouri State. Last year's Black Out uniforms return and the fans can snag some new merchandise too. My question to everybody is "Are you fans of the uniforms now?" Because last year there were some heated responses against the use of all-black jerseys. We had people calling it a "really dumb idea" and saying we need to "stick to traditional football." It actually surprised me because black outs are visually appealing at a football game. So after last year are you on board? Vote in the poll below or message us on Facebook or our mobile app.

Summer practices officially kicked off on Monday, August 5. The Griz have 19 scheduled practices leading up to the season opener.
