Listen, there's no way around it. Saturday night in Grand Forks was a bummer. The North Dakota Fighting Hawks scored 20 unanswered points and Montana had only 4 drives spanning five and a half minutes in the second half en route to the 27-24 loss. The final 30 minutes were rough.

But...

Everybody take a deep breath and relax. The season is not over and is very much salvageable.

Twitter was not a kind site to be on Saturday night. Fans were calling for jobs and using words like "embarrassing," "terrible," "atrocious," and "failure." Which, again, there could be some validity to the latter, but let's just take a step back and remember how last year unfolded. Remember when the Griz made a National Championship game? Remember when the Griz had an early season loss in a dome, on the road, in a game they were favored in?


 

Last year on September 23, the Griz lost in Flagstaff to an unranked Northern Arizona team. The sky fell. The season was over. Pack it in... Oh wait...

All I'm saying is to use a little patience, ok? Don't be the rube who grabs their phone to tweet emotional, erratic thoughts for the world to see. Let more than two weeks go by before you make your final judgments on this team. Reassess after next week.
