The Montana Grizzlies are 2-0 after a 45-10 pounding of the Drake Bulldogs (0-2). Was it a perfect game? Heavens no, not with the 16 accepted penalties against Montana, but it was a memorable game because of Eli Gillman's record-setting performance.

Eli Gillman Breaks The Career Rushing Touchdown Record
It was the first of several records to fall this season. Gillman rushed for three touchdowns in the win, and the third, about midway through quarter 2, gave him 53 for his career. That mark passed the great Chase Reynolds.
Eli Gillman Ties The Career Touchdown Record
Gillman hauled in a 1-yard receiving touchdown in the 4th quarter to put the icing on the cake. It was his 59th total touchdown to tie the great Chase Reynolds.
Hey Look, It's Eli Gillman Again
Gillman set a new record, tied another, and is zeroing in on a third record. He is now 213 yards away from setting the all-time rushing record at UM. That feat could theoretically be set this week at home, but will most likely come in the next few weeks.

Grizzly Defense Makes Some Big Plays
The Grizzly defense gave up 297 yards, but forced 2 fumbles and held Drake to 1 for 5 on 4th-down attempts.

Landon Ransom-Goelz (featured above) hauled in 5 catches for 95 yards, and Brooks Davis caught 8 passes for 101 yards and his first touchdown of the year. It was a solid day from the top 2 receivers.

Jo Silver Boots a 50-Yard Field Goal
Late in the ballgame, the Griz kicker knocked down a career-long 50-yard field goal. It would've been the exclamation point, but running back Dylan Paine scored his first touchdown with 90 seconds remaining for the final exclamation.
