It's your chance to support local music and a great local cause simply by going to a concert. How great is that?

The Tannahill Weavers, a Celtic band from Scotland, are coming to the Bitterroot Valley for a special performance benefiting the Bitterroot Celtic Society. The concert is happening Wednesday, October 21, at the Performing Arts Center in Victor, Montana.

Experience the Tannahill Weavers Live

If you've never had a chance to see the Tannahill Weavers perform live, this might be the perfect opportunity. They're a fantastic band with a sound that blends traditional Celtic music with plenty of energy.

According to the band's website and the Winnipeg Free Press, its music may be pure old-time Celtic, but its drive and enthusiasm are more like straight-ahead rock and roll. That sounds like a pretty good combination to me!

Over the years, the Tannahill Weavers have developed a reputation for bringing together the beauty of traditional Celtic melodies with powerful instrumentation and modern rhythms.

Celebrating Musical Heritage: The Tannahill Weavers

The band was inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame in 2011. In 2018, the band celebrated its 50th anniversary with the release of its acclaimed album Òrach, a title that references the Gaelic word for gold. They also released Solstice, a holiday-themed album, in 2024.

With nearly 58 years of music behind them, the Tannahill Weavers continue to share their distinctive sound with audiences around the world.

Give Back to the Community through Music

There's another great reason to attend this show. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Bitterroot Celtic Society, the organization responsible for bringing the annual Bitterroot Celtic Games and Gathering to the area.
