A Night to Remember at the Fáilte Irish Festival

Man, what a wonderful night we had Friday at the Fáilte Irish Festival in Missoula.

The weather turned out to be absolutely beautiful. It wasn't too hot and smoky; there were a lot of people there, and it looked like everybody was having a really good time.

Supporting Irish Traditions in Montana

It’s always great to be able to raise money for such a worthy cause here in Montana with Friends of Irish Studies in the West. They work hard to keep Irish traditions alive here in Montana. I really admire what they do.

The Irish and Scottish dancers were fantastic. The music was wonderful. The food was great, and there were some really cool vendors there as well.

Live Music Magic with the Young Dubliners

It ended up being a great night to rock out with the Young Dubliners. It’s been a while since the Young Dubliners have been in Missoula, so it was really cool to see them perform and watch them rock out.

I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked because I'm a member of the Celtic Dragon Pipe Band, and it’s a little tough to take pictures when you're busy practicing and performing.

We also had the honor of performing with the Missoula Highland Dancers, which was a lot of fun.

Looking Ahead: Upcoming Events in Missoula

It’s always great to be invited to this event, so thank you again to everybody who helped put it together.

It was a fantastic night, and now we get to start looking ahead to what’s next.

We’re getting ready to make that transition into September, and if you like a good stein, some German music and a little Oktoberfest celebration, we have some fun things coming up.

Bayern Brewing has three Oktoberfest celebrations coming up in September, and then we’ll have German Fest coming up the first weekend of October at Caras Park.

So, from Ireland to Germany, apparently we’re just going to keep the international party going here in Missoula.
