Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - 38-year-old Lyle Kickingwoman received a drug-related grant of probation in Missoula County. On September 28, 2026, Missoula Police Department officers noticed Kickingwoman seated in the passenger seat of a parked vehicle with three other individuals. All four individuals appeared to be involved in drug use.

Kickingwoman’s probation officer asked that he be arrested for a probation violation. The following contraband was seized from Kickingwoman’s person incident to arrest:

  • A hypodermic needle located within the inner torso of his jacket pocket.
  • A plastic bag containing a clear crystal-like substance located within a jacket pocket.
  • A plastic tooter straw with burnt residue located within the front pocket of his jacket.
  • A glass tooter straw with burnt residue located within the front pocket of his jacket.

An officer reported that, based on his training and experience, the above-listed items (except for the bag of clear crystal-like substance) are drug paraphernalia commonly used to store dangerous drugs, ingest dangerous drugs, and inhale the fumes of dangerous drugs.

The plastic bag contained what appeared to be dangerous drugs. Kickingwoman told the officer that he would test positive for methamphetamine if he took a drug test. The crystal-like substance was weighed at 13.26 grams and determined to be presumptively positive for the presence of methamphetamine utilizing the True Narc scanning device.
