It looks like a major change could be coming to school lunch boxes; Capri Sun is apparently releasing bottles, a departure from its iconic pouches.

In a surprising announcement, food blogger Snackolator — which has been very accurate with its fast food breaking news in the past — shared that the company will be revealing the new packaging at NACS, a convenience store convention in Las Vegas this October. The post claims Capri Sun is targeting adults with the 12-ounce bottles.

Now, fear not pouch lovers, while Snackolator has been spot-on in the past with food news, there's no mention of Capri Sun ditching the pouches in that post. We're not sure how that started, but the brand assures fans the pouches are here to stay. In a message to Taste of Country, a representative says:

Capri Sun is not removing its iconic pouches from its product portfolio. In fact, after seeing fans panic over the false information, the brand is reassuring everyone that the pouch is here to stay in a truly epic way. Rolling out exclusively at Walmart next week, Capri Sun is launching a pallet of 3,800+ Capri Sun pouches for purchase.

According to Instagram post, you will see three flavors in the bottles, Strawberry-Kiwi, Fruit Punch and Pacific Cooler. Others could follow.

It's wouldn't be the first time that Capri Sun has made a change in their packaging methods. Earlier this year the company announced they would be switching to a different plastic pouch and thanks to some legislation, they added paper straws, a move that was actually reversed in Europe as little kids, and adults, struggled to get the paper straw into the pouch.

As you can imagine, not everyone is taking the possibility of change well.

Part of being a kid was mastering this skill wasn't it? There was always that one kid at the table who could easily master getting the straw in without missing a drop, or the one kid who changed the game and poked the straw in through the clear bottom? Lunch tables just wouldn't be the same.
