“Home Waters” Author John Maclean To Speak At Wilma Sunday Night

If there's any movie that Montana is known for, it's "A River Runs Through It."

Adapted from a collection of stories by Scottish-American author Norman Maclean (who Brad Pitt played in the movie) the Montana scenery provides one of the best backdrops in cinema history.

The annual literary festival In The Footsteps Of Norman Maclean (who was an avid fisherman and conservationist) is welcomed back this weekend at the Missoula Public Library and The Wilma (June 24 -26) Visitors can hear from featured speakers on the theme of this year's event: "Public Lands And Sacred Ground: Western Writers Bear Witness" beginning Friday night.

The festival will welcome several speakers to the podium at the Wilma, one of whom is John Maclean, the son of Norman Maclean and himself an accomplished journalist and author. John's new book "Home Waters" describes his family's relationship with Montana and the Blackfoot River. He had an original title for the book:
