I know we keep saying the summer weather is here, but even over the 4th of July weekend, we were dealing with rain, thunder, and lightning. As we look ahead to next week it feels like we might finally be over the hump and looking at a good run of nothing but sunshine and warm temperatures. As of now, temps are scheduled to be in the mid-90s. That's the kind of hot where the backside of your kneecaps are all sweaty. Where you get up from sitting on a bench and leave a sweaty imprint of your booty behind. We're talking about the kind of hot where you do a little yard work and you can wring your shirt out like a sponge when you're done!

Where Missoula goes to cool down when temps are heating up

Thankfully, we have a pretty awesome place to have some fun and cool off here in Missoula when the hot weather sets in. Splash Montana is open once again and offering up fun with the lazy river, splash pool, cabana rentals, and water slides. Of course, you'll also find lessons for all ages as well as lap swimming. And if you want to leave the kids at home and have a little grown-up fun you can take advantage of Adult Night at Splash Montana.

Adults only nights through July

Tuesdays and Thursdays in July are your chance to have some adults-only fun at Splash Montana. The water park is open to those 18+ from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm for an affordable price of $8 per person or $6.50 with a city resident discount card. Enjoy a little fun and relaxation without any kids running around. Hmmm, maybe we should try this at a few restaurants around town!

You spoke and Splash Montana listened

With COVID precautions, Splash Montana moved to daily sessions for swim times to help with social distancing. They surveyed guests last year and about two-thirds of those asked said they preferred to keep things the same way for 2022.

Daily swim sessions are back by popular demand! When we surveyed Splash visitors at the end of last season, the majority said they wanted to keep the sessions, and 67% said the smaller group sizes increased their enjoyment and sense of safety at Splash. We offer Share The Fun Recreation Grants for families who need financial assistance in the form of aquatics punch cards or passes.

Mon - Fri 11 am - 3 pm & 3:30 - 7:30 pm (closes at 7:00 PM on Tues & Thur in July for Adult Night)
Sat - Sun 11 am - 2 pm & 2:30pm - 5:30 pm
