Missoula's 2023 concert season is getting a big start with Monday's announcement that multi-platinum country music star Brett Young is including Western Montana on his tour for next year.

Logjam Presents announced this will be Young's first performance at Kettlehouse Amphitheater on Saturday, May 13th. Australian Morgan Evans will be the opening act for the show.

The tour, called "Brett Young: 5 Tour 3, 2, 1" will start in Columbus, Ohio in March and wrap up in his native Los Angeles at the end of May, just a few weeks after the Montana stop.

Tickets for the Kettlehouse stop will be on sale this coming Friday, December 2nd.

That's also the day Young plans to a new version of his 2017 song, "You Ain't Here to Kiss Me."

Young already has 13 Platinum songs with his music topping 5.5 billion streams worldwide. That's quite a climb for an artist who only released his initial EP five years ago. That collection included his breakout hit "Sleep Without You." He released his third album, "Weekends Look a Little Different These Days" last year and a Christmas album released last season.

Young has already branched out into his own clothing line, and even created his own music festival, Caliville Weekend.

Young's stop is the second major concert Logjam has already announced for the Kettlehouse in 2032. Indie rock favorites Death Cab for Cutie from Bellingham, Washington will return to the amphitheater for a show on Saturday, June 10th.
