"Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead."- Mac McCleary

I have found very few people will ever admit that they are a bad driver. But there has to be some of them, if there weren't we wouldn't have insurance companies.

Someone Will Drive Faster Than You

When I was in school I had teachers tell me that there will always be someone smarter than me. I had coaches tell me there was always someone stronger, faster, and who could jump higher than I could. Initially I took those as insults and a challenge. Over the years I have found out that they were right. I also found out there is someone who will always try to drive faster than you.

Try to Be Safe

I am reminded every spring and summer, when I travel the Montana highways, that not everyone drives like I do. For the record, I try not to break laws and I try to be a very safe driver, you kind of have to be while driving in an older mini-van.

Over the past few years I have developed a pet peeve while driving across the state. There seems to be more people that have this annoying habit, especially on the interstates. When you attempt to pass a person who is traveling at a lower speed than you, and they then decide to speed up and not let you pass. I have never understood why people do that.

No Need To Take It Personally If Someone Passes You

It is not a personal insult if someone passes you. There will be times when people drive faster than you, it happens. There will be times when people will pass you. They may even have a license plate from a different state. It is ok. There is no need to take it personally. There is also no need to speed up. Please be safe on Montana's roads.
