Homeless Trespasser Returns to Missoula Property
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On October 3, 2026, at approximately 10:20 a.m., Missoula County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a report of a trespasser at the property in the 3300 block of Raiser Drive. The owner of the property reported that she was informed by the property security team that 62-year-old Thomas Anderson, who had previously been trespassed from the property, had returned.
The security team said that it appeared that Anderson was once again camping on the property. The owner said that she wanted Anderson removed from the property again. On September 25, 2026, Anderson had been arrested for criminal trespass there, and he was notified at that time that he was formally trespassed from the address.

When a corporal arrived at the property, he observed Anderson riding away from officers on a bike. Deputies located Anderson near the southeast section of the property hiding behind a tree.
A deputy called out to Anderson and told him that he was under arrest and to put his hands up. Anderson did not comply and placed his right hand in his jacket pocket. Eventually, Anderson complied with commands and was placed under arrest.
A large black knife was removed from Anderson’s side, and another knife was removed from his pocket. During the search incident to arrest, a brown wallet was removed from Anderson’s person. Anderson was transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility with the wallet.
Post Miranda, Anderson stated that he had entered the property earlier in the day through the open gate. During the booking process, Anderson told jail staff that he had methamphetamine in his wallet. Jail staff, along with the deputy, performed an inventory search of Anderson’s wallet and located two clear plastic 2x2 inch baggies containing a white crystallized substance consistent with methamphetamine.
According to court documents, Anderson told the deputy that he had purchased the methamphetamine yesterday. The deputy later used ACE-ID to confirm the substance to be methamphetamine, and it had a total package weight of 1.2 grams.
Anderson is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal trespass to property. His bond was set at $5,000.
