Montana Governor Greg Gianforte secured historic funding to raise starting teacher pay.

"We must continue cutting taxes so businesses can create good-paying jobs for Montanans across the state."

He said they're returning $756 million to the pocketbooks of hard-working Montanans.

Gianforte continued his strong support of the Homestead-Comstead property tax reduction plan, even though the bill was recently tabled in the state legislature.

He is proposing to reduce Montana’s income tax rate and to deliver permanent property tax relief for homeowners at their primary residence.

“We want to make sure that there's a meal on every table during this holiday season," said Gianforte.

“This new budget includes the largest income tax cut in state history."

Governor Gianforte acknowledged the fact that these issues have not been properly addressed in the past.
