Trying to typecast Reggie Watts into any one entertainment category is an impossible task. Fortunately, you won't have to, when the Montana-bred comedian and musician resumes his tradition of home-state shows during the Christmas holiday.

Even though he's become an acclaimed star in recent years, the 50-year-old entertainer loves his Montana roots, growing up with his Air Force family in Great Falls. And his holiday visits back to the Treasure State have become a tradition with his long-time fans, or people just discovering his diverse talent.

Watts' stage performance is a whirling dervish of fun, as he moves back and forth from keyboards to beatboxing, looping pedals, singing, and tons of comedy, giving improvisation a whole new meaning. It was those skills that first brought him to the attention of fans and the media, with a New York Times critic dubbing his first Netflix special a "giddy rush of escapist nonsense."

That diversity lead to his primary gig as the band leader and sidekick to James Corden on the Late Late Show, where he's brought a funny, and unpredictable spin to Cordan's show. But he hasn't stopped there, continuing to produce music, shows, and even his own app last year called WattsApp, offering a "look into his life, work, and techno junk drawer." And he's appeared on Celebrity Jeopardy.

Watts will be appearing in two shows for Logjam Presents, at the ELM in Bozeman on December 21st, and the historic Wilma Theater in Missoula on December 22rd.

Thursday was the pre-sale for tickets, with early signup, and general ticket sales starting Friday at 10 am. More details and prices are available from the Logjam Presents website.
