“Sober Scramble” Tees Up For Montanans With Addiction
So, you think you can beat Rory McIlroy one-on-one with cash on the line? Okay, shooter...let's find out!
Registrations for teams of four are being accepted for the 2022 Sober Scramble at King Ranch Golf Course. The tournament will be held on August 20th.
The tournament will benefit Missoula's Fourth D Club, an unassuming building on Broadway and Russell St which provides a wealth of programs for people battling addictions like drug or alcohol abuse.
It's Harder On The People Around You
While there are certainly many people who suffer from crippling addiction in Western Montana (whether they admit it or not) the effects of abuse are more often than not impacting the lives of others more, like friends and family members. The 4 D Club also offers meeting spaces and information about programs for people who are coping with a friend or family member suffer from addiction.
Programs like Al-Anon are available at the 4 D Club and meet weekly to help such people.
The Scramble
This year's tournament will directly support the 4 D Club so it can continue to pay its rent and offer such programs.
- 18 teams of 4 players each will tee off at 9AM on August 20th (shotgun start)
- $500 entry fee per team
- Prizes to win on each hole
- An onsite raffle featuring prizes from local sponsors will be held once the tournament is over.
